He stressed the need for private investigations into the matter, and appropriate punishments meted out to those found culpable.

He observed that if the practice continues, there will be a systemic decay in the Ghanaian educational sector and the general society since these students (the youth) will see the practice as a norm and will eventually indulge in these acts when they are adults and assume national public offices.
